Privacy Policy
How TradeSaber collects, uses, and protects your information
TradeSaber Inc. (“TradeSaber,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit tradesaber.com, create an account, activate a trial, purchase or use our Products (including the Predator X series), join our community, or otherwise interact with us — and how we use, share, and protect that information.
This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service. By using our website or Products, you agree to the practices described here. We are the party responsible for the personal information we collect (the “data controller” for the purposes of applicable privacy laws).
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. When you create an account, buy a Product, start a trial, apply to our affiliate program, or contact us, you may give us:
- Account details — name, email address, username, and password.
- Purchase details — billing information and records of the Products and licences you buy. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are not stored by us.
- Affiliate details — if you join the Predator Affiliate Program, your payout (PayPal) email, promotional channels, and social media handles.
- Communications — the content of emails, support requests, and messages you send us.
Information we collect automatically. When you use our website and Products, we may collect:
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, and how you interact with our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).
- Licence activation data — to operate and validate your licence, our licensing system records information such as your Licence Key, activation and deactivation events, and a machine identifier for the computer on which a Product is activated.
Information from third parties. We may receive limited information from our service providers — for example, transaction confirmations from our payment processor, or information from platforms you use to interact with us, such as Discord or PayPal.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- create and manage your account, deliver Products and Licence Keys, and provide updates;
- process purchases, apply discounts, and manage licence activations, transfers, and validation;
- provide customer support and respond to your inquiries;
- operate the affiliate program, track referrals, and issue commission payouts;
- send you service messages and, where permitted, marketing or promotional communications you can opt out of;
- maintain the security of our site and Products, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms; and
- comply with our legal and tax obligations.
We rely on your consent, the need to perform our contract with you, and our legitimate business interests (such as securing our services and preventing fraud) as the bases for these uses, consistent with applicable privacy law.
3. Consent & Withdrawal
Where required by law (including Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, “PIPEDA”), we collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent.
Information that is essential to the Products. Some information — including your account details, purchase records, and licence activation data — is necessary for us to license our Products to you, validate and support your licence, and meet our legal obligations. This information cannot be opted out of while you hold an account or an active licence, because without it we are unable to provide the Products or support at all.
Withdrawing consent. You may withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information, subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by contacting us (Section 14). Because the information above is essential to the Products, withdrawing consent means closing your account and discontinuing use: your licences will be deactivated, and you will no longer be able to use the Products or receive support. We may still need to retain certain records after your account is closed in order to meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations (see Section 7).
Optional processing. Non-essential processing — such as marketing communications — can be opted out of at any time without affecting your account or licences (see Section 12).
4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, understand how our site is used, and support the affiliate program. This includes:
- Essential cookies — required for accounts, checkout, and site functionality.
- Affiliate cookies — used to attribute referrals; these last up to 60 days from the time an affiliate link is clicked.
- Analytics cookies — used to measure traffic and improve the site.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies, but disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from working. Our video guides are embedded using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business:
- Service providers (processors) — companies that host our website, process payments, manage licensing, send email, and provide analytics, acting on our instructions.
- Legal and safety — where required by law, regulation, subpoena, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honour this Policy.
The providers we currently rely on include:
- Payments — PayPal and Stripe, which process transactions and, for the affiliate program, payouts.
- Online store — WooCommerce, which powers our checkout and order processing.
- Web hosting — GoDaddy, which hosts our website and its data.
- Licensing — Elite Licenser, which issues and validates Licence Keys and records activations.
- Affiliate program — Solid Affiliate, which tracks referrals and commissions.
We do not currently use third-party marketing or advertising tools, and we do not share your personal information with advertisers.
6. Third-Party Platforms & Links
Our site and Products interact with third-party services — including NinjaTrader, brokers and data feeds, PayPal, Discord, and YouTube. When you use these services, their own privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you use alongside our Products.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy — for example, to maintain your account and lifetime licences, provide support and updates, and meet legal, accounting, and tax requirements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and Licence Keys confidential.
9. International Transfers
We are based in Canada, and we and our service providers may store and process your information in Canada, the United States, and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we take steps to ensure your information receives an appropriate level of protection when transferred across borders.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw consent or ask us to delete your information, subject to legal and contractual limits;
- object to or restrict certain processing, or request portability of your information; and
- opt out of marketing communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will respond as required by applicable law. If you are in Canada and are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Users in other regions may have the right to complain to their local data-protection authority.
11. Children’s Privacy
Our website and Products are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Marketing & Opt-Out
If you receive marketing emails from us, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those messages or by contacting us. We will still send you essential service messages related to your account, purchases, and licences. We aim to comply with applicable anti-spam laws, including Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the version and effective date above and post the updated Policy on our website. Material changes will be identified where practical. Your continued use of our website or Products after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
14. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Policy or how we handle your information, or if you wish to exercise your privacy rights, contact us at support@tradesaber.com.
