Morning / Afternoon Safety
Auto-pause trading for a few minutes around volatile news times.
Morning and Afternoon Safeties prevent trades for a few minutes around these times. Implemented mainly for price-based charts like Renko: news releases around these times can cause sporadic movement (hundreds of candles printed in the same second), which can make a strategy try to enter/exit repeatedly and almost certainly hit order rejections.
Morning Safety: 8:30am Eastern
Afternoon Safety: 4:00pm Eastern
Both safeties are applied by default; trading is only paused for a few minutes at each.
Hint 1: time-based charts don't strictly need this (candles take longer to form) but it's recommended just in case.
Hint 2: keep your NinjaTrader timezone and computer timezone in sync so the safety starts at the right time — it auto-applies and converts to Eastern, but your Ninja and computer timezones must match (you don't have to be in Eastern, just matched).
