Troubleshooting:
These steps will help in figuring out why the Predator may not be taking trades. 9/10 times it will not take trades due to some over filter condition. This can be an extra Indicator like an MA or RSI. Sometimes it could be an Additional Filter like a time or PNL limit. The Predator has many options to filter out your trades. It is possible for the user to over filter to the point of not allowing it to take trades.
These steps should help resolve any trade entry related issues. If you are still having trouble, please send all of the required info on the final step. This will help us get a better understanding of your intended entry point.
Step 1: Confirm Latest Version - 3.1.1.3
Always make sure that you are on the latest version 3.1.1.3.
- New Versions can contain bug fixes or new features that are not available in previous versions. We update often based on user requests. Make sure that you keep checking for the latest versions.
- Please see this article to learn How To Update To The Latest Version
Step 2: Have At Least 1 Target Selected
- Please note that you need atleast 1 Target selected in order to enter a trade. No Targets = No Trade.
- If you are trying to enter a trade without a profit target. Check the ‘Target’ and then select ‘No_Profit’ from the drop down list.
See the No_Profit option here: Profit Targets

Step 3: Reset Template - (Highly Recommended)
Often times, newer members will start checking many options without checking the User Guide to learn how they function. This often leads to several factors preventing trades. The Predator X is a highly customizable tool. It can be a very simple tool, but it can also get very complicated the more you add.
Let’s take a step back and start with a fresh template to ensure we are not accidentally over filtering with multiple conditions that could prevent trades.
To Reset your template, head over to your PredatorX Strategy properties. On the lower right hand corner, you will find a ‘Templates’ button. Click on it and then click on the ‘RESET’ button. This brings everything back to default.
If you have multiple settings. Please start with just 1 Entry for now. We will first confirm the first entry works and then we can start adding conditions 1 by 1.
NOTE: It is recommended to NOT save any templates as ‘default’. This will ensure settings from a previous strategy do not get accidentally transferred to your new template.

Step 4: Follow These Steps Before You Start Trading!
We put together some steps that must be taken before you start trading. These will help ensure your chart and strategy is refreshed and all precautions are taken to eliminate external factors that could interfere or cause strategies to fail.
Please see this article and follow these steps before continuing to the next step:

Step 5: Manual Entries

With a fresh Template. Please ensure that the check boxes above the Buy High / Sell Low buttons remain unchecked for now. These boxes serve different functions that will often delay an order until at least the next bar, if not longer.
Enter Long / Enter Short:
• With the check boxes unchecked. The Enter Long / enter Short buttons should get you into a position right away.
Buy High / Sell Low:
• These buttons will place a ‘Line’ on the chart. Whith allboxes unchecked, as soo as the price is above your Buy High entry line, it will enter a Long trade. As soon as the price is below the Sell Low Entry line, it will enter a short trade.
• Clicking the Eye icon alone will NOT enter a trade. The Eye Icon is simply so that the user can adjust the lines first and not accidentally enter a trade.
• To make the lines ‘Live’, the Buy High / Sell low buttons must be pushed!
We have a compilation of ‘Short Vids’ that can help cover the many configurations of the Manual Entry buttons to get your exact entry point. Please watch the video here to learn better how the Manual Entry buttons can be used: Manual Entry Shorts
Step 6: Auto Entries (Applies to Custom 3rd Party Signals as well)
There are a few simple checks we must ensure so that the Predator will execute trades based on our Auto Entry selection. It is highly recommended to read each Auto Entry section individually and watch any videos that may go along with it. Some were recorded with older versions of the Predator, but will still be quite relevevant today.
• I will use a Renko Reversal as an example. But ALL auto entries follow similar steps.
• Please follow these steps WITHOUT any additional indicators or filters for now. Keep a default template and simply add the auto entry to understand how it works first. We can start adding more later on!
Step 1:
Ensure that after you select ‘Show X Auto Entry’. You must also select the ⚡︎ Trade X Auto Entry ⚡︎ (The option with Lightning Bolts next to it for whatever Auto Entry you select). This makes it so it actuall takes the trade. You can also confirm these from your Chart once the Predator X is enabled. You will see the Auto Entry selected on the top right hand corner. See below for examples:
Will Take Trades:

Will NOT Take Trades:

Step 2:
Ensure that all of your Auto Entry controls are turned ON. These can be turned on from the properties or directly from the generated chart trader panel.
Learn more about how these control work in the user guide: Full/Semi Auto Trader Controls
