Time Filter Calculate

Within Additional Filters, you will find Time Filter Calculate. This option allows users to choose the time visibility most suited to their Strategy or their trading style.
The original Predator versions came preprogramed using “BarTime” which uses the time stored within the bar. Trading with charts like NinZaRenko will not be noticable with this filter time as the bars update per tick. However, on time based charts, the bars only show the bar closing time.

An Example of Bar Time shown above:
⤷ Our playback clock is currently just past 6:00am. Our Time Start parameter is not set until 6:30am.
However, the current bar being formed closes at 6:30am. That is the time stored and the time being used with ‘BarTime’. This causes our time to be valid and can start taking trades before our actual time.

The alternate option now available is to trade using “Exact Time”. The Exact Time will only enter when that exact time is registered on your Playback/real time Clock. So this means that your Time Filters will be even more accurate than they have been before.
You can see in the Exact Time example above – our Playback clock shows 6:02am and our Time Within doesn’t start until 6:30am so no trades are active until our Time label switches to green at 6:30am.
